Today the lovely Megan from Megan Joy will be guest posting with tips for heat proof makeup!
Left to Right: Benefit Cosmetics They’re Real! Push-Up Liner, No Worries No Sweat Anti-Shine Foundation, D.J.V. Beautenizer Fiberwig LX Mascara
Summer is upon us! And while it’s exciting to finally have sunshine and warm weather it also means changing up our makeup routines. Gone are the dry winter temperatures, now we have to think about sticky humidity that causes our makeup to melt off our faces (yes boys, it melts!)
Here are a few waterproof products that will keep your makeup looking polished all day long no matter how hot it gets!
Benefit Cosmetics They’re Real! Push-Up Liner
This waterproof gel liner will give you hours of wear without smudging. I also find that I wear less eye makeup in the summer, so dramatic liner is a great way to make your eyes pop without having to add a ton of eyeshadow.
No Worries No Sweat Anti-Shine Foundation
I would definitely recommend using a lighter foundation or a BB cream in the summer, but this waterproof, anti-shine foundation is perfect for those who need more coverage due to skin issues such as rosacea, acne and hyper pigmentation. It’s has a matte finish and it really is waterproof and budge proof. When I wiped off my lipstick at the end of the day my foundation didn’t even transfer onto the tissue. It does come off easily with cleanser though!
D.J.V. Beautenizer Fiberwig LX Mascara
This brand is new to me but apparently it’s crazy popular in Japan. UrbanOutfitters.com just started selling it this year! It’s a fiber mascara similar to Younique Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes meaning that the mascara contains small fibers that adhere to the lashes making them look longer and fuller. It contains a water-based film-coating that repels oil from skin and makeup. So come tears, sweat or rain your mascara will still be looking fab!
