Essie Lots of Lux came out with the Encrusted Treasures collection for Holiday 2013.
Lots of Lux is a beautiful blue with bits of blue and gold shimmer throughout. This is a textured polish, and dries quickly. 2 coats are needed for full opacity. It has a great formula and was very easy to apply. If you’re worried about removal because of the grittier texture of the polish, don’t be. It takes slightly longer to remove than a regular polish, but isn’t as tricky as removing glitter. You don’t need a topcoat with this, though you can add one for a touch of extra shine. You’d have to apply multiple coats if you wanted to try to even out the texture.
What are your thoughts on textured polishes? Did you get anything from this collection?

This is such a pretty polish! I ended up only getting ‘on a silver platter’ from the collection, but this is gorgeous!
I’m surprised how much I liked the fact that it was textured. It’s really pretty! I ended up picking up Ignite the Night earlier this week after having liked this one so much. I’ve been on a bit of a nail polish spree lately apparently.
Oh wow, how pretty! Loving the glittery texture and the vibrant blue shade
Isn’t it gorgeous!? I was surprised at how much I liked it since I don’t generally gravitate to this type of blue, and the texture was a nice surprise.
Wow now that is some amazing polish right there :O
I can’t find it here in Montreal
You are so lucky it looks beautiful
Love from Canada

I had wanted to pick them up…quite a few from the collection…but I didn’t. I’m hoping there will be a good clearance sale where I can snag them all up 😛 Anyway love how it looks on you~
Aw thanks! Yeah I’ve noticed some of the holiday polishes on clearance at various places now. They actually had some from this collection on sale for $6 at my Shoppers last week, let me know if there were any in particular you had your eye on, I can always check back for you!
